Dundee, Scotland, UK. 8th December, 2013. Royal Navy HMS Duncan is the most modern and state of the art Type 45 destroyer berthed at King George V Docks in Dundee for 3 days. Arrived on December 6th 2013 and open for visitors. She bears the name after Admiral Adam Duncan, who, in 1797, defeated the Dutch fleet at the Battle of Camperdown; a name which still resonates in the city with a park, house and street all harking back to this famous victory.
